Dr. Rolf Aschermann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board
Dr. Rolf Aschermann has been the Chairman of the Supervisory Board since the founding of flexis AG in 2000. After serving in legal and commercial management functions of international media enterprises, he has been working as a freelance lawyer in Berlin since 2004 with a focus on corporate law, M&A, as well as media law. He holds additional supervisory board seats at ALBIS Leasing AG, Hamburg (chairman) and at ALBIS Finance AG, Hamburg (deputy chairman).
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Clemens Schmitz-Justen
After graduating from the Technical University of Aachen with a degree in manufacturing engineering, Mr. Schmitz-Justen worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT from 1976 until 1991, where he also earned his doctorate in 1986 and served as managing chief engineer until 1991. In 1991, he moved to BMW AG, where he served in different executive positions until 2007, most recently as president of BMW Manufacturing LLC in Spartanburg, South Carolina, USA. In 2008, Mr. Schmitz-Justen was named director of international programs and adjunct professor at the College of Business and Behavioral Science at Clemson University in Clemson, SC. He is a member of several boards and has been an adjunct professor at Chemnitz Technical University since 1998. He joined the supervisory board of flexis AG in 2008.
Oliver Rupps
Oliver Rupps has been a member of the Supervisory Board of flexis AG since 2009. After graduating in business administration from the WHU Vallendar, the Ecole Supérieur de Commerce Lyon, and the Texas A&M University, he was active in different management positions in the purchasing, logistics, and enterprise planning departments at Mercedes-Benz AG and DaimlerChrysler AG. After stints as a director at the IT firm ilas AG, as chairman of the board of management at Erwin Steinle Int. Spedition GmbH & Co. KG, and as CEO of the automotive supplier ixetic GmbH in Bad Homburg, Oliver Rupps has been CEO of Südmo Holding GmbH in Riesbürg since 2008, a company which manufacturs components and installations for the beverage and food, and the pharmaceutical industries. In addition, he is honorary commercial judge at the Landgericht Stuttgart. He also gives regular presentations and lectures on logistics topics, for example at the WHU – Otto Beisheim Hochschule Vallendar.
