MFTBC ensures transparency of complex supply chains with flexis Monitoring

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation (MFTBC), a subsidiary of Daimler AG, has chosen flexis Monitoring for its operations in Japan to enable migration from local sourcing to meet the demands of increased global sourcing. With flexis, MFTBC will be able to plan, execute and visualize their global supply chain network.

The new solution for Supply Chain Monitoring provides a transparent, graphical representation of coverage and supply situations. This is particularly helpful with longer lead times of components and parts, thus helping MFTBC to meet the demands of a global sourcing environment. Even with significantly longer transport times, complex supply chains, multiple modes of transportation, and an increased number of high value supply parts, the flexis solution ensures stability and reliability. With the flexis tool MFTBC will be able to significantly increase their visualization horizon for inbound materials, to cover the required replenishment time.

The flexis solution allows validation of the current scheduling against stock and internal capacities. Dispatch notifications and transit times are also considered. All functions will be performed, as necessary, on a daily or monthly basis, as well as on different product levels and product groupings.

In case unpredictable changes to the supply chain (like delivery delays, material shortages, production problems, or outages) occur, the system automatically visualizes the imminent bottleneck situations. Now, the separate sandbox component can be used to develop and verify possible counter measures. Both demand and supply data can be virtually changed immediately, and checked for effectiveness. Scheduling impacts and changes as a result, are safeguarded, ensuring the best possible outcome to fit the specific business needs.
